Subject: Vista

Hello Norman. With the bad weather,I was not able to get out exploring with the vista. However I made a few comparisons in my Garden with two other detectors which I possess(gold max power and red heat)who are at present among the Best in the market. The test was difficult as all of my garden is very polluted by iron. The behavior of the vista is excellent. It is easy to settle, stable and very powerfull. The ground tests were for coins buried and put in flat ,the sensitivity control being on 3/4 of power, average discrimination and the ground control set at 12 gave the following results:

Sesterz(30mm): 33cm
Half franc of silver(26mm): 30cm
20 cts d'Euro(22mm): 29cm
10cts d'Euro(20)mm: 27cm
Quinaire in silver(10mm): 20cm

The vista is better in power especially on big and average modules(10 to 15%°) but it's true that it also possess a bigger disk.
In conclusion,it's complety excellent, except the weight, with 1,8kg,which some detectorists may find tiring for long hours in the field.(*) It may be necessary to provide a traditional battery option.(*) Other wise this device is the Best price, quality and performance at present on the market.I will keep you informed.
Cordially

Jean François

(*)note from Norman: the Goldmaxx Power weighs in at 2.1kg
(*)note from Norman: the recharchable battery pack actually adds very little to the weight and gives the advantage of 44 hours of detecting on a single charge, but I will pass on Jean-Francois observations to DeepTech

Personal Reviews of the Vista

The Vista is new to the market and the initial factory tests have been good, but what about the people who have bought it? As people send in their reviews, they will be published here. Some of the translations will be tidied up a little but the truth of what is said will be apparent. The reviews will often be sent to Norman Kennedy (the owner of http://treasuredetectives.net who are the world wide distributors of DeepTech) or to Treasure Detectives.
